Sometimes it is difficult to see the pot of gold over the rainbow.  Money is good for the good it can do.  What does the pot of gold look like for you?  Are you having that picture, that feeling, that image so clear in your mind that it motivates you?  Motivation is everything to your success.

In BOLD we are constantly challenging our motivation, our commitment our focus on the end result.  No more negative thinking, no more limiting beliefs and no more feeling alone in our adventure for success. As BOLD Dogs we are here to help each other find the pot of gold.  Let’s remind each other what success looks like.  At our Dog Pile on Tuesday at 7:45am, I would like everyone to bring their motivation.  Is it to pay off debt, buy a fun toy, a vacation, security or maybe to donate to a charity.  If everyone could bring a picture of what they will achieve, then the pot of gold becomes more real and more attainable. See you Tuesday and I challenge you all to get 20 contacts at a Super Bowl party this weekend!

I wanted to pass along some advice I got today.  When you are feeling frustrated, discouraged or beating yourself up, go help someone else.

We all have moments where we are really hard on ourselves.  Personally I think it is the curse of being an overachiever!!  When that happens, take a break from licking your wounds and look around to someone else that needs your help.  It may be a new agent, an affiliate, a friend, an organization or even a child.

Take the time to remind yourself of all the value you have to so many.  It takes focus off yourself and it will help you move on and move forward.  Or as BOLD teaches us, Get Over It!!!

This weekend Julie Hiegle, my kids and I will be hosting a bake sale for the victims of Haiti in the spirit of KW Cares.  My kids are excited and so am I!  By the way, my kids are now asking to listen to the affirmation CD!!!  So I am listening to it every day!!!

Take time this weekend to help someone else.  The thing I love about our Bold Dogs is that we help and support each other so much!  Keep up the great work, support and encouragement for each other!!  Go Bold Dogs!!!

Today our Livermore office decided to do an impromptu 100 Contact day.  There was a lot of good inertia and activity around here today.  I didn’t quite make it to my 100 contacts, although I am going out tonight and plan to add 20 more names to my contact list.

One agent actually walked around Main Street to go meet people.  If you get tired of making calls, go outside!  Walk into a store, go to the mall, go to all the places that you frequent and ask them to help you!!  The “Can you help me with a problem?” is a great script regardless of the person.  Everyone likes to help!!!

If you have a great idea on how to get 100 contacts in a day, let us all know!!

The energy and momentum is palpable!!!  Keep up the great work Bold Dogs!!!

24 hour commitment to your goals…are you taking action towards your goals?  Make sure you are reading the emotional connection to your goals.  Emotion will make you act!  Remember that everyday you either move closer to your goals or further away from them.  There is no such thing as status quo.  When you win and achieve your goals, other people will be winning as well.  You will be an example for success, fantastic mindset and perseverance.

Whatever you can do, or dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it. Begin it now!

These BOLD Affirmations are really changing my mindset and my vision.  When your vision is clear, the decisions become easy!!  The daily priorities really make a difference and making sure you read them!  Have 3-5 life priorities for this year and make sure they are EVERYWHERE!!  Have a copy in your car, your desk, in your wallet.  Wherever you look those priorities need to be in front of you.

When presented with a choice, when your vision for yourself is clear, the decision is easy.  Remember in achieving your goals it becomes a “win” for many people around you.  You become an example for others, you are able to take care of others and create opportunity for others.

Read your priorities daily!!

Some of you have been a bit challenged with hitting your 20 contacts a day.  Take the time from 9-11am each day to lead generate on the phone.  Then take your list with you.  Make 2-5 calls in the car.  Talk the people at the dry cleaner, coffee shop, salon or wherever you do business every day.  One idea Monica and I were discussing today was the Starbucks idea:

  1. Go to Starbucks
  2. Bring $20-$40 to the barista and pay for the next several drinks
  3. Set up a table with MREI and “My First Home” books
  4. Have slips for a drawing
  5.  Ask the people that come up which book they would prefer to win (investor or first time home buyer)
  6. Get their contact info
  7. Ask all the employees for referrals using the same script we used last week
  8. Walk away with at least 10 contacts and several leads!!!

Let me know if you need other lead generation ideas or have something you would like to share with the group.

Mark your calendars for tomorrow.  After BOLD we will be meeting at the Pleasanton Market Center for a presentation from our very own Dan Birdwell, then calls and dinner too!  Details to follow!!!

Read your priorities daily and stick to them!!!

I am a winner!!!!

Posted by Katey Shinn under For Realty Professionals, Mindset, BOLD

The latest BOLD affirmations that has been running through my head today.  Our Team, the BOLD Dogs, is getting some great momentum.  We are attending Power Hour at our local Market Centers, having fun lead generating and getting a lot of great momentum.

It has been pouring rain here, so that means that it is time to Door Knocking!!!  I will be doing an Open House at 1855 Meadow Glen in Livermore on Sunday from 2pm-4pm.  So time to go out in the rain and invite the neighbors to bring their friends to an Open House in the neighborhood!!

I am a winner!  Winners perform and practice at a very high level.  I love surrounding myself with winners and people with a winning attitude.  I am dynamic and I get things done.  These affirmations are great and a lot of fun to say together in the office.  Are you having fun lead generating, making appointments and working with clients?  I hope so.

Being a winner is unapologetic and greats joy and laughter!  Let’s have some fun!!!

My favorite affirmation on the BOLD daily affirmations is about being lean and mean!!! As I said it I made sure to focus on each word and smile.

This morning I was at a parent teacher conference for my daughter. We are talking in the meeting about how important positive reinforcement is for all of us. The affirmations we tell ourselves are so important.

We are all human beings and we will make mistakes. We learn by failing forward, so every failure is a learning opportunity and the chance to fine tune what makes each of us great. Please take time to listen to the BOLD affirmations. Go to my blog and post your favorite affirmation and remember that the person most likely to help us succeed or get in our way is ourselves.

Monica and I want 100% success each week of our team making your 100 contacts!!! Call or email if you are having challenges! Keep up the great work and let’s start sharing our successes. Sue Flashburger has 3 HOT leads she is working on and keeps the momentum going!!

Go BOLD Dogs!!!!

The past few weeks, unfortunately have been filled with moments of great frustration.  I am not the person that likes to point fingers, I want to be part of the solution.  When my expectations are not being met or when I am being misled, I get really frustrated.

So how do we become part of the solution or make sure our expectations are appropriate?  I like to hold people and their word accountable to their actions.  Reality does show up and life happens, I get that.  However, a commitment to do something is still a commitment.

At Keller Williams, we often ask people, how do you win with me?  How do you lose with me?  The way to lose with me is to not do what you say you are going to do.  So I have decided to be very open and honest about that with people in my life.  Set the expectations and hold people accountable to it.

When we are held accountable for our actions it helps us to become our true selves.  It may be scary to reveal our true selves, especially if you have never really been authentic.  It will encourage those around you to be open, authentic and vulnerable too!  You can decide to be authentic, accountable and set appropriate expectations so that we can have some fun!!

I always want to exceed expectations!!!

The definition of BOLD is  Fearless and daring; courageous.  What does it take to be fearless?  Is the fear ever really gone?

I have attended the introductory class of BOLD and signed up for the 7 week course immediately.  It is truly an investment in myself and my family.  Personally, i don’t believe in working hard, I believe in working smart.  Rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic is not my idea of great efficiency or effectiveness.

Through the power of BOLD…Business Objective: A Life by Design, I am looking forward to learning from those that have succeeded before me.  Don’t re-invent the wheel, but be and do what other successful people have already been and done before.

2010 is going to be my year.  My year for strengthening my relationships, my year for success, my year for trying new things, my year for training and teaching nationally agian and my year of vacations.  This year i have promised a trip to Hawaii for my kids and a trip to Italy for myself.  There is no doubt that I will accomplish these goals!

To be BOLD is to be courageous and fearless.  I believe that courage is not the absence of fear, but the knowledge that something is more important.  At the bottom of every single email for almost two years now has been this quote:

“Whatever you can do, or dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it. Begin it now.” -Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Be BOLD with me!!
