Happy Mother’s Day!

I am thinking of you this morning and all that you have taught me over the last year about trust, support, vulnerability and joy. I joined our team the day after Mother’s Day last year. The last year you have taught me so much and really “mothered” me in so many ways. Thank you for all that each of you have done to make our family the amazing community it is today. We continue to grow, share and be stronger. The next year is going to be so exciting. I am so looking forward to what we can do together. We are unstoppable when we are together. You inspire me to be better and I am forever grateful.
Thank you for always reminding me of how amazing we are together!

You Can Do It!! I Can Do It!

Yesterday I did something that I haven’t done in almost a year. I went running! It means that today I am a little sore…and…I feel great. The run was broken up into segments of running and walking. Several times, I wanted to stop running. I know that in order to truly attain my fitness goals I must get back to running a few days per week. Some steps were excruciating!! I kept hearing myself say… “You Can Do It!”. Then after a while, I heard myself get into “D” mode…for those of you that attended the DISC class last week this is for you…and said, “I CAN DO IT!!!”. Finishing the run was a great sense of accomplishment and being a little sore today actually is the reminder of that accomplishment. Sometimes we need to do things for ourselves that start off tough…AND…can help us to what we need to do to be successful.
So…what do we have going on in the office this week that is both fun and provides a great sense of accomplishment???

MONEYBALL will launch on TOMORROW at the Sales Meeting! This is a Listing and Sales contest designed to have multiple benefits:
Increase listings to 100 Active Listings for the office
Open Escrows
Create an environment for lead generation activities
FUN! Happy Realtors sell more houses!
Team building
Attracting talented agents to our office
Closing escrows…Realtors who make money are happy!
Each agent will be assigned to a Team and have a Team Captain tomorrow at the Sales Meeting. Do Not Miss it!! Each Team will have expectations:
Create a team name/mascot/colors…etc
Be competitive
Each Tuesday send the “points” to your Team Captain
Team points will be announced each Wednesday at the Sales Meeting

Reasons or Results…NOT Both!!

Whenever I see results i like, I never doubt the reasons. When I get results I don’t like, I have all sorts of reasons to fall back on, for why it didn’t happen. Today I started a six month commitment to our office by joining an accountability group at HQ. Our goal as an office is to be #1 in BHG Mason McDuffie Real Estate for 2012. There have been some results that I am not happy with, and I am committing to getting great results with your help and support. Our office culture is amazing and I am so proud of all the work that each of you do, every day to make things happen. We as staff are working every day to provide you with tools, support and an environment to help you thrive. Whatever you need, we are here to help!
Reasons or Results…NOT both!
I have been reading a book, Mastery of Love, and one of the chapters discusses that there are essentially only two emotions: Love and Fear. When we are in Fear…we blame and not responsible. When we are in Love…we take ownership and accountability and love the feedback to make us better. Accountability is a gift and I am grateful for the opportunity. Let’s help each other to be in love more than we are in fear each and every day.
Things are changing and it is getting very exciting. Keep your eyes open for some fun stuff and opportunities to be accountable. I am committed to great results, both personally and professionally. Let us help you to get the results you desire. YOU are worth it!!

Unless you have been under a rock, or asleep in the Safari, over the last two weeks…it is CRAAZY out there! Inventory is very low and most listings are receiving multiple offers again. We don’t know how long this will last, so make sure to come to Calling with Katey to let our clients and friends know about what is happening. The media is typically about 90 days behind what is happening in the real estate market. It is OUR job as Realtors to get the word out.

The word is out…Warren Buffett says it is the best time to buy!
Martha Ann and Jo Carlson both had new listings…on the Road to 100 listings!!!
Chuck Barberini shared how the Mega Open House had over 40 groups through his listing on Saturday and 38 groups on Sunday. Ron Lau committed on how lucky we are to have Ed Jeffry, from Citibank, supporting our listings and open houses. Ask Ed how he can help you with your Open House!
Kathy Vendel shared she had 120 people through her Open House on Sunday and is open to share how did it ! Give her a call!!
