Core Principles of BHG Mason McDuffie Real Estate

Kathy Ollerton, Vice Chairman of the Board and Director of Training for BHG Mason McDuffie spoke to us about the Core Principles of our company.
The Four Principles are :
Vision
Commitment
Accountability
Personal Responsibility
Each of these principles hold a unique meaning.
- Vision: How would you chose things to be. Vision statements starts with “I chose…”
- Commitment: A result that creates a path. We can all make decisions, the results do not lie. What are you committing to each day to get closer to the vision?
- Accountability: This is observation without judgment. We must each observe the consequence of the commitments and choices we have made. We learn from it and decide which choices and commitments we will continue to do or change.
- Personal Responsibly: This is when we must all “own it”. This is an opportunity to set up circumstances to succeed. What are we each personally responsible for in our lives? We can chose personal responsibly to point the finger away from ourselves and play the victim. Taking ownership of our situation, is the opportunity to create the life we want. It is a chance to be a bit God-like.

Ultimately these were the take aways:
- What do you want?
- What is your plan?
- What is the next step?
- Commit to it!
If you want something bad enough…you will be willing to do what it takes.

What is PERFECTION?

Last night, for only the 22nd time in baseball history, and the 1st time in Giants history, a Perfect Game was achieved, lead by pitcher, Matt Cain. As you all know, I am a pretty big baseball fan. The final out, followed by all of Matt’s teammates jumping all over him like 8 year olds, made me cry. The pure joy, excitement, relief and the “WOW” factor is evident. This got me thinking…what is PERFECTION?
Here are some of my thoughts on PERFECTION:
- Team work-Matt Cain did not pitch a perfect game without the support of his teammates
- Joy: What brings you joy is perfect
- Imperfections: You can be perfect in your imperfections
- Safety: Feeling safe and knowing your imperfections are accepted by those close to you
- Acceptance: When you are vulnerable, as an imperfect human being, connection and acceptance is perfect
- Failure: We learn more from our failures than our success. We must fail to reach perfection
- Ownership: YOU ARE MINE! When you own your actions and thoughts, everything you do is perfect
What would you today if you knew it would be PERFECT? Do you have a vision of the PERFECT life, client, escrow, vacation or week? The more clearly you can see PERFECTION, the more likely it is come true. On my refrigerator I have a quote, “What ever I ask of life….I will get”. Envision perfection, ask life for perfection…you will get it!

Be magical, be perfect and when perfection comes your way….jump up and down and celebrate like an 8 year old!

What a great week for Partnership!!

Happy Mother’s Day!

I am thinking of you this morning and all that you have taught me over the last year about trust, support, vulnerability and joy. I joined our team the day after Mother’s Day last year. The last year you have taught me so much and really “mothered” me in so many ways. Thank you for all that each of you have done to make our family the amazing community it is today. We continue to grow, share and be stronger. The next year is going to be so exciting. I am so looking forward to what we can do together. We are unstoppable when we are together. You inspire me to be better and I am forever grateful.
Thank you for always reminding me of how amazing we are together!

You Can Do It!! I Can Do It!

Yesterday I did something that I haven’t done in almost a year. I went running! It means that today I am a little sore…and…I feel great. The run was broken up into segments of running and walking. Several times, I wanted to stop running. I know that in order to truly attain my fitness goals I must get back to running a few days per week. Some steps were excruciating!! I kept hearing myself say… “You Can Do It!”. Then after a while, I heard myself get into “D” mode…for those of you that attended the DISC class last week this is for you…and said, “I CAN DO IT!!!”. Finishing the run was a great sense of accomplishment and being a little sore today actually is the reminder of that accomplishment. Sometimes we need to do things for ourselves that start off tough…AND…can help us to what we need to do to be successful.
So…what do we have going on in the office this week that is both fun and provides a great sense of accomplishment???

MONEYBALL will launch on TOMORROW at the Sales Meeting! This is a Listing and Sales contest designed to have multiple benefits:
Increase listings to 100 Active Listings for the office
Open Escrows
Create an environment for lead generation activities
FUN! Happy Realtors sell more houses!
Team building
Attracting talented agents to our office
Closing escrows…Realtors who make money are happy!
Each agent will be assigned to a Team and have a Team Captain tomorrow at the Sales Meeting. Do Not Miss it!! Each Team will have expectations:
Create a team name/mascot/colors…etc
Be competitive
Each Tuesday send the “points” to your Team Captain
Team points will be announced each Wednesday at the Sales Meeting
Have fun with it! Ideas: Mega Open house, door knocking together, meet as a team, calling with katey as a team…be creative!
